Snapshot.
RegSuite is BST Consulting's in-house regulatory reporting platform, built to replace the Excel-and-Power-BI pipeline that compliance teams were running manually for every reporting cycle. It automates the generation of risk assets portfolio reports, CBN on/off balance sheet returns, capital adequacy reports, and management reporting across MBRs and DBRs, with validated logic and a full audit trail at every step.

Problem context.
The manual process we had been running for client banks (exporting, transforming, and cross-checking reports in Excel, then rebuilding them in Power BI) broke at scale. Every cycle required an analyst to walk through the logic by hand, which introduced interpretation drift, exposed us to errors between data source and output, and left no audit-ready record of how a number was derived.
Decisions and execution.
I scoped RegSuite as a productization of the workflow we already knew worked. Rather than starting with a UI, I mapped the full reporting pipeline first, from data ingestion through transformation to report generation, and made every intermediate output inspectable. Wrote PRDs with the regulatory logic embedded so developers, compliance reviewers, and bank clients all worked from the same source of truth. Sequenced delivery around the reports banks asked for most urgently first.
Outcome.
Banks that previously ran regulatory reporting as a week-long cycle now execute the same pipeline in under an hour. The platform is in active use across three Nigerian banks, with onboarding documentation and report validation built into every deployment.
What I would improve next.
Auditability is not a feature you add at the end. It is the architecture. Every design decision that made RegSuite trustworthy was made at the data-transformation layer, not the UI layer.
